Our role as teachers centers on provoking occasions of discovery through a kind of alert, inspired facilitation and stimulation of children's dialogue co-action and co-construction of knowledge.

Firstly we have 2 neat teams that work together in either centre. Students and officials alike always comment on our teamship & how awesome it is to spend time with us. We're fun!
We all share a great sense of humour & have heaps of fun & laughs, lots of social occasions as a team, including outings with our parents & as a result have awesome relationships with them too!
We all enjoy spending time with children and love them as our own. Lots of awesome discoveries, adventures , cuddles and laughs.
As team mates we are passionate about nurturing our centre philosophy, and in providing a workplace where we enjoy placing our energies (professionally and personally) into developing our unique setting.
We take pride in creating an environment and atmosphere that makes our place a great place to work, full of fun and laughter and a great sense of friendliness and family for those who work and play at Pukekos.
Our reminder of our Pukeko children’s voice: They want:
- “a funny and laughing teacher”
- “help’s build huts and secret hideouts”
- “dresses up to tell us cool stories”
- “let’s me try doing it for myself”
- “makes music with me”
- “gives me hugs if I get sad”
- “shows me new stuff to do”
- “gets dirty and doesn't care if we get dirty"
- "is fun and happy with us”
- “plays games with us”
